Green Eggs no Ham...

In addition to several Papillons and a few rescue dogs, we also have 25+- Chickens of varying breeds. We have three "Easter Eggers". They're supposed to lay either blue or green eggs. We've had them for almost a year and until today (no Blue/Green eggs). Until Now !!!!

God's blessings....

Sometimes God slows you down a little bit and shows you the blessings he bestows on you in your own back yard.
The birds really appreciated our multiple feeders during the snow storm. They were blessed with food and we were blessed with colors other than white and grey.

snow .. snow .. and more snow...

01/29/2010 Snow Day

I woke up this morning to a sleet covered driveway and the weather prediction of more than 6 or 7 inches of additional snow on top of that (maybe more) and since I drive almost 50 miles to work ... I called in Slick. I stayed home with the pups, made myself a big pot of Green tea with real North Carolina sour wood honey with lemon, camped out in the sun room and watched it snow all day. It was one of those days that truly soooooths the soul. I let the dogs out and had a hilarious day watching them romp in the white powdery stuff.

Mimi takes a Bow......

Starkville Dog Show 2010

Mimi -- Winners Bitch !!!
and
Best Opposite

The Manditory Winners Show Photo

Mimi showed well both days. She didn't win anything Saturday but won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite for one point Sunday under judge Joe Gregory. She now has three points toward her championship. Bear with the photo's, I'm still learning how to use my new camera (thanks Santa).

Starkville Dog Show 2010

We attended the Starkville MS dog show Jan. 16-17. It was a kind of rainy weedend. At least it wasn't cold and snowing. Anyway, Cruiser and Mimi both showed very well.

Cruiser didn't win anything Saturday other than his class. Sunday he won his usual Reserve Winners Dog.

This was the first dog show with my new camera (thanks Santa, I musta been good). The pictures still need a little improvement. The lighting was terrible inside the building. They hold the dog show in a huge horse arena.
