Puppy Status Update 01/27/2009

Puppies are eating solid food now and are growing by leaps and bounds. They're spending their days now either eating, sleeping or fighting. The other dogs have now discovered that there's something new going on in the puppy pen. I think they've figured out that trouble is on the horizon. It should be interesting in a few weeks when they get their shots and are a little bit bigger and can be let out of the confines of their pen and introduced to the general population. That'll signal the opening season of the 2009 puppy Nascar races around the couch.

The Golden Triangle Kennel Club hosted it's second annual “All Breed Dog Show, Obedience Trials and Rally Trials” at the Mississippi Horse Park on Saturday and Sunday. Cruiser won his class both days and won Winner's Dog both days to pick up two additional conformation points toward his championship. Six points down, Nine to go. Way to go Cruiser. Cruiser's brother Harbor took Reserve both days also. Keepin' it in the family.

Puppies are pushing 4 weeks old. They're now standing and walking fairly well, growing like weeds. They've already started fighting and picking on one another. Got teeth emerging. Next stop "Solid Food" ohh boy.

Puppies -- Two weeks old and our eyes are open

The puppies are now over two weeks old and their eyes are also open. They've doubled their body weight over the last week also. They're also standing up, albeit unsteady, and are already escaping out of the welping box. Won't be long now before they will be terrorizing the other dogs and wreaking havoc everywhere. Let the games begin.....
